More Mind Control

Who is responsible for raising and lowering the “Terror Alert” level from yellow to orange to fire red? Turns out it isn’t the Department of Homeland Security, the department that established the rating system. In today’s USA Today, Tom Ridge notes that his department was often overruled on its decision to be more conservative with the movement of the terror alert levels. The article begins, “The Bush administration periodically put the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks even though then-Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was only flimsy evidence to justify raising the threat level…” and it only gets scarier.

How curious that Salon.com provides a correlation between the raising of the threat level and major initiatives by the Bush Administration. Is it any surprise that the terror alert levels were raised just before Bush set off on his occupation of Iraq and just before the GOP convention? Sheep, folks… That’s what the people who voted for this guy based upon his “war on terrorism” are. Nothing but sheep. Score another one for the mainstream conservative media, who went right along with it all without question. Please, America. Stop watching the television for news. Keep your televisions off local network stations from 5-7pm and from 11-11:30pm. Watch the Discovery Channel, or TLC or anything to keep you away from the sensationalized stories that are being spoon fed to you each night on the television news. Read a book or something.
